Snow shoeing Journal

We went snow shoeing to Kananaskis. The most memorable moment at snowshoeing was right after lunch when the sun was shining through the clouds making the mountain look like a picture painted by God. It was amazing!! I challenged myself by running to catch up with people when I was far behind and tired. I succeeded by not freezing to death and by walking at least 5 km in snow shoes!! Which are very heavy!! I helped Chantal put her snow shoes on at the starting after I put mine on. I learned that it is very good to bring extra layers even if you don't think you will need them because they might come in handy.

Crux Climbing Center Journal

For three days (well two for me) we have been going to the crux climbing centre. It is the biggest climbing centre in Calgary! My most memorable event at the crux center was on my first day. I had only three limbs and I was aloud to climb. It took me the whole hour to get up, but I finally made it to the top which was three stories high!! I was so excited!! I challenged myself by climbing with only three limbs. I succeeded by going higher then my expectations and making the top of the wall. I helped other people by encouraging them while they were climbing. The lesson that I learned is always take on challenges, it might be fun. Also if you put your mind to it you can do anything. And lastly I learned that you can trust your teacher in any situation.

Canmore Nordic Centre Journal

Today we went to the Canmore Nordic centre. it was a lot of fun.

The most memorable event was when it was just the four of us on the course, it was completely quiet and it was snowing very lightly! It was absolutely amazing!!! All of us just stood there looking at the snow and being quiet then we preceded to play while talking quietly. I challenged myself personally by not calling a mulligan and throwing thought the trees toward the hole. I succeeded by doing a tomahawk though the trees and getting it on the fairway. I also succeeded by getting a 6 on one of the par 3 holes. I helped out all of the people in my group by individually helping them find there Frisbee. I learned that you should always go with a partner when you are somewhere that you could get lost.

I had an amazing time at Frolfing today!!!!

COP Challenge Course Journal

Today we had a lot of fun at COP.

I really liked doing the wall challenge with our group. We had to get all of our group over a wall. Our procedure was to hoist people up the wall while the people up top helped them walk up. We left Jesse last because he could jump up the wall. I challenged my self personally by putting my safety in other peoples hand. That was very scary for me. I succeeded by letting other people lead me during the blind fold game and stepping on to the plank that other people were holding in the island challenge. I helped people by holding the plank for them to go across, guided people in the blind fold game and was a spotter on the low ropes course. I learned two really important lesson today. 1 that teamwork is very very helpful in life. And 2 that when you get excited don't yell at that person it makes them confused. (like in the blind fold game when you got the noodle)

So Happy

We are going to COP for a challenge course this afternoon!!! I am so excited!!!!

Here is a joke for you:

There was a class who was going skydiving, the instructor told people what to do. At the end a girl asked a question: " If you parachute and your escape chute don't work how long do you have until you hit the ground?" The instructor said "the rest of your life"
